Salary - $50k + $10k annual bonus

Background

The Marketing Practice are a Seattle based marketing agency, specializing in commercially accountable, B2B technology marketing. Due to the expansion of a successful pilot program, we are looking for an additional Partner Success Specialist to engage, train and nurture our client’s resellers. This role reports to the Head of Inside Sales.


The role

Our client is taking new technology products to market in the USA, we’re helping them educate their resellers and partner with them to market and sell better. This role is about being the main relationship interface with the reseller to guide them through the process.


You will be responsible for delivering training to our client’s resellers, helping them understand how to deploy next-generation technologies and transform their business to create new revenue generating opportunities. You will also partner with them to understand how those technologies can best help their customers and support them in marketing to those customers.


You won’t just be spending all day on the phone to resellers. You’ll be liaising directly with the client to provide weekly progress reports, writing and circulating daily activity updates, and working with various client resources to establish and refine your business messaging.


As a TMP Partner Success Specialist, you’ll be energetic, ambitious and tenacious, able to motivate yourself and others, and plan and manage your own time. You’ll have excellent verbal and written communication skills, an ability to engage with and influence senior decision makers, and plenty of commercial acumen.


It’s your responsibility to ensure we provide the client with regular updates, including insights you gather through your outbound activity. You strive to achieve the most impactful journey for resellers that they and your client stakeholders will rave about. Your colleagues in other departments will approach you for guidance, advice and trust your contribution.


About you

You will always be looking at ‘how you can deliver the most impactful reseller support’. You’ll be a master of ‘selling the next action’ with the ability to keep the resellers committed to moving through the training stages. You have a good eye for detail, are a problem solver and have strong written and verbal communication skills. You possess strong commercial acumen – you’ll be able to speak the same language as a reseller’s CEO or other business decision-maker.

Requirements

Key responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly and monthly targets for activity and reseller ‘graduation’
  • Create engagement with resellers using a mix of telephone/email/PRM channels (depending on the needs of the program) to identify the most efficient and successful journey for resellers
  • Develop an understanding of organisational structure in target organisations through research, profiling and questioning techniques
  • Gathering, applying and reporting on reseller and market intelligence
  • Chairing weekly client progress reviews by phone (face to face on occasion)
  • Management of account base and ownership of data to maximise engagement with resellers
  • Liaising with the client (in conjunction with Client Services) to understand and implement the program brief
  • Daily reporting of progress against targets including time spent vs budget

 

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience of evangelizing complex solutions (product or service) face to face or by telephone
  • Experience of liaising successfully to Chief level within prospect organizations and via multiple channels
  • Evidence of working to and exceeding targets and objectives
  • Experience of consultative sales – building rapport, defining needs, applying gathered intelligence and managing the journey of the reseller through the program stages
  • Experience of working as part of a high performing team
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines/juggling multiple reseller journeys
