Role scope/purpose

We’re looking for a talented Junior UX Developer to support with a growing and exciting number of digital marketing projects for our clients, including global brands. You’ll need a good balance of both design and coding skills, as well as a keen interest in the latest industry trends.

Working closely with the Digital team’s leads on UX and development, you’ll be both a developer who can design and a designer that can code and able to work closely with stakeholders and other teams to design user-centered experiences from concept to fulfilment. You’ll work on multiple projects that may involve creating wireframes for responsive web pages, producing emails with commercial impact, developing banners for display advertising campaigns and supporting the building of mock-ups, prototypes and full site completions.

This is a role with a great opportunity to stamp your mark and be part of projects from conception to implementation. Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a Junior UX Developer, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and analyse requirements to produce intuitive and functional UX experiences that are achievable for implementation (e.g. on the client’s technical platform).
  • Creation of low and high-fidelity wireframes and user journeys and close liaison with the in-house Creative team to produce fully branded mock-ups for client approval.
  • Creation of page layout and user journey variants for segmentation and A/B testing.
  • Front-end development of campaign landing pages and marketing emails for clients using a variety of tools such as Eloqua, Marketo and HubSpot.
  • Creation of HTML5 banner advertising for display advertising campaigns.
  • HTML, CSS and JavaScript changes to websites using content management systems.
  • Be a champion in the agency for UX best practices and user-centered design.
  • Providing technical advice and support to internal teams and clients.
  • Maintaining a focus on industry best practice for areas such as accessibility and mobile first design, ensuring that these factors are considered in everything you do.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A passion for design and development and able to interpret functional requirements into fit-for-purpose user interfaces.
  • Comfortable sketching ideas, wireframes and user journeys and able to adapt to evolving requirements and stakeholder feedback.
  • Positive and proactive approach to workloads, deadlines and client demands.
  • Highly organised and able to work independently and at a fast pace.
  • Accurate and with a high attention to detail.
  • Warm, can-do attitude.
  • Calm under pressure and a team player


  • At least two years experience in UX and UI design, including low and high fidelity wireframes, with a portfolio showcasing previous work.
  • Ideally, experience in the technology or software sector
  • Strong knowledge of responsive web design practices, technologies and methodologies.
  • Experience of front-end development using standards-compliant HTML5, CSS and JavaScript (WordPress and/or Drupal experience an advantage).
  • Experienced using Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop.
